AOSpine Discovery and Innovation Award at Global Spine Congress 2019, Toronto, Canada
Dr. Arun Kumar received this award along with a research grant of 45000 USD for working on the project “Prophylactic Antibiotics in Spine Surgery – Do they reach the operative site in adequate concentrations?”. Out of 11 winners from all around the globe, Dr. Arun Kumar is the only Indian to have received this prestigious award at Toronto, Canada.
Inducted As Associate Member Of Aospine Knowledge Forum (Degenerative), Switzerland.
Dr. Arun Kumar was inducted as an Associate member of the AOSpine Knowledge forum – Degenerative. He is the only Indian to be included in this prestigious group comprising of high intellects in the field of spine surgery.
Indian Orthopaedic Association - Joy Patankar Gold Medal At Ioacon 2018, Coimbatore
Dr. Arun has been presented with Prof.Joy Patankar Gold Medal for the research work on “Growth Rod Instrumentation in Early Onset Scoliosis” at Indian Orthopaedic Annual Conference in 2018.
ASSI (Association of Spine Surgeons of India) Young Investigator Award at ASSICON 2017, Hyderabad.
Dr. Arun Kumar has won the Young Investigator in Spine Surgery for the research work on “Adult Spinal Deformity Classification Systems” at ASSICON 2017. He is the first spine surgeon from the state of Andhra Pradesh to have received this prestigious award.
Indian Orthopaedic Association - S.M Tuli Gold Medal at IOACON 2018, Coimbatore
Dr. Arun Kumar has won Prof. SM Tuli Gold Medal at the IOACON 2018 for his publication on “Refractory Tietze Syndrome after prone position in spine surgery”. His work was recognized as one among the best from all over India in the year 2018.
Vyaghreswarudu Gold Medal at OSSAPCON 2021, Ananthapur
Dr. Arun Kumar has won Prof. Vyaghreswarudu Gold Medal for the research work on “Excellent Surgeons but Enigmatic Researchers: A Bibliometric analysis on the contribution of orthopedic surgeons from AP for global research output”.
TIMES Rising Star in the field of Orthopaedics at TIMES NOW Annual Conference, Novotel 2019, Hyderabad
Dr. Arun Kumar was recognized for his clinical work in spine surgery by TIMES group and was awarded with Rising Star in the field of Orthopaedics/Spine Surgery by TIMES group in the year 2019.
AOSpine Asia Pacific Research Grant 2016, 2019, Hongkong
Dr. Arun Kumar has won the AOSpine Asia Pacific Research Grant as Primary Investigator for the project on “Intraoperative Neuromonitoring in Cervical Myelopathy”
ASSI (Association of Spine Surgeons of India) Research Grant 2017, 2019.
Dr. Arun was the co-investigator for ASSI Research Grants in the years 2017 and 2019 for the research projects on the topics Cervical OPLL and Multifidus fatty infiltration respectively.
Inducted as Candidate Fellow in Scoliosis Research Society in 2020, USA.
Dr. Arun was inducted in the prestigious Scoliosis Research Society in the year 2020. He is the third spine surgeon from the states of AP and Telangana to be inducted as an international fellow in this society.
